Hello Luz. I believe that the total number was 275 more or less – about one-half pallet of 3″x7″ bricks. I am grateful to have inspired you. Good luck with it!

I like your design very much and would like to try to replicate it.

Hi Marney, I live in Vancouver, BC Canada, above the snowline on the northshore mountains. I understand about cold. You have some great plant nursery resources there in Nova Scotia, and they should be able to help you with resilient perennial herb varieties that are zone appropriate for your area. Most of mine re-appear in the spring, as long as I mulch them well with dry, clean straw. Summer savory doesn’t come back of course, and lemon verbena and rosemary are iffy, but if you wrap your herbs up in a mulch blanket, protected from cold wind and too many freeze-thaw cycles, I am sure you will be ok. I would experiment with native herbs too. Lori McCarthy at Codsounds.ca is a wealth of information about native Maritime plants. Good luck with it, and thank you for your kind words.

Thank you so much Linda. I apologize that I didn’t see this comment earlier. I hope that you had good luck with your build. Let me know.

I live in Atlantic Canada (Nova Scotia) and plan to build a spiral herb garden for next summer. I’ve often wondered how perennial herbs do in cold winter weather. Do they need to be covered or do they just pop back up in spring? I love all your ideas, well done.

Will start collecting the items I need and hope to get this going. Thx!
