Enteric methane production is a function of the cow’s rumen as they digest cellosic materials, and they produce methane whether they are eating grass and hay or a TMR of forages, corn and soy.

If the cows were fed their natural diet of grass and hay instead of the feedlot mix of soy and corn they would not be producing methane. We don’t need genetic manipulation, we need to get away from mass production of beef and go back to smaller farms and grazing. Watch Common Ground about regenerative agriculture!

Cows are domestic animals and are already “unnatural”. There are no wild herds of Holstein cows.

Man has been selectively breeding and improving the genetics of domestic cows for a long time. This is just the evolution of breeding.

Cows are the most amazing digestive beings and create the most amazing fertilizer that can be. Their stomachs are beautifully designed and perfect as they are – who do we think we are, recreating creation?

Ronald, I would assume that the meat would definitely have to be labeled. Probably some fancy seal that says CRISPR. As interesting as it is that we are able to do this, I agree with you that it is not natural in the slightest.

This is going to have bad consequences, just as the Covid virus shots had bad consequences. These people are messing with things far beyond their understanding. Declaring themselves to be wise they became fools…. I do not care to be dragged down their foolish path unawares.
