Yep! I raise Shetlands… small, primitive, hardy, and their fleece will naturally roo if not shorn.
And like Sophie said, the meat is wonderfully flavored and lean (the landrace breeds tend to store fat around the organs rather than in the muscle). Love love LOVE my Shetlands!

The perfect sheep. Smart, used for milk, meat and wool production but don’t need shearing. The meat doesn’t taste muttony or greasy, more like goat and they forage on their own with little food help needed from humans.
