I wear shorts all the time. Just don’t run through any of the 8 rotational grazing pastures for the goats. You will regret it when you hit a wild rose bush and you will hit one or two right after you run through some blackberry vines. That is what my goats eat. At the local livestock auction in summer it seems to be fashion standard to wear shorts and muck boots or for the big fashion statement for the young girls, short shorts and cowboy boots or muck boots. It is too dang hot and humid in the summer to wear jeans or overhalls. I wear shorts unless I am running my Stihl FS 240 brushcutter. Then I will suck it up and wear long pants.

I have steers, goats, chickens, pigs, horses, and rabbits. Yes, I know it is supposed to be funny, but geesh.

Another thing. I have used small dogs very successfully for varmint dogs. They kill more rats and mice than cats will as they keep killing them and don’t stop at one. Even my 20 to 25 lb dogs have successfully taken out groundhogs and raccoons and the occasional skunk. Big dogs don’t fit under my feed shed which I have raised off the ground so my varmint dogs can get under there and do their job.

But Sandals let our feet breath and a quick change before going inside our clean home . My female partner appreciates the cool looking clean sandals . I am a person that always wears shorts too, . Just joining the discussion , thanks from a guy in a very small town. Who wears shorts and sandals . Peace
