They are on track to be decimated in the western states with the new expansion of hunting and trapping allowances in Montana and Idaho. These include an extended hunting season with increased kills allowed per license, ‘reimbursement’ (aka bounty) for expenses, night hunting, snaring, and other non-‘fair chase’ practices.
Wisconsin’s season was cut short when 218 wolves were killed in 3 days.
