We are a small ‘Innovation Company’ active in the field of rapid growth forestation and woodchip gasification technology. The issue of the ‘factory farming’ is present here too, although probably not reaching the dimensions which I read from your shocking presentation. Our strategy is that to strive to reach, wherever possible, a decentralization of above farms, by way of enforcing, by regional law, a max cattle-unit number per farm of about 1000. If correctly planned and pursued, the strategy, over the years, progressively converts the costs of the waste treatments to become positive income together with the development of a rich agro-forest landscape. Cornerstones of the strategy are synthetically the following: 1) Immediate sanifications of lagoons and litter by mixing with adequate amounts of woodchip biochar; 2) Build up of suitable heaps with the said mix; 3) Conversion (1 year) of the heaps in rich humus through aerobic (auto-thermal) composting; 3) Soil fertilization by landfilling of the compost; 4) Use of the fertilised soils for (high yield) agricultural and (rapid growth) forestation purposes. Further details in our website. Thank you for reading the long comment.
